Since my last blog entry, we have been very busy rendering out backgrounds for the Asus TVC. Blackmagic Design in Singapore have designed a very nice looking Office scene and rendered it as a High Dynamic Range image. This allows us to use this HDRI to light the 3D objects in the scene and provide the reflections and background image that make up the environment. In short, it takes quite a few hours to render but looks amazing! Damien Yang has been to New York and back and has now composited the scenes. This involved a large amount of Green screen removal, general cleanup’s of mattes and the inclusion of all the 3D renders. Many shots have been retimed and there is also quite a lot of graphical text and overlays. Overall we are very happy with the outcome. Damien, Anthony Lee (TV producer at Leo Burnett Singapore), and I did put in a few late nights, however it was all worth it.
